The Ideal of Worship
All religious activities at the Ramakrishna Mission are guided by the universal philosophy of **Service to God in Man**. We foster an environment of harmony, respect for all faiths, and practical spirituality, ensuring that every soul finds solace and inspiration.
Daily Spiritual Programs
Mangal Arati (Morning Prayer)
Daily: 5:00 AM
The first prayer of the day, signaling the awakening of the Divine. Includes chanting and devotional songs.
Temple Worship & Readings
Daily: 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM
Formal worship of Sri Ramakrishna, followed by reading from the Bhagavad Gita or Upanishads.
Sandhya Arati (Evening Service)
Daily: Sunset (Varies)
The main evening prayer session featuring chanting, devotional songs (Bhajan), and a period of silent meditation.
Weekly Discourse (Satsang)
Sunday: 5:00 PM
A weekly public class on the scriptures, conducted by a monastic member. All are welcome regardless of background.
Annual Festivals & Celebrations
We celebrate the birthdays of the Holy Trio, major religious festivals, and the birthdays of the monastic disciples of Sri Ramakrishna with special worship, *bhajans*, and large public feasts.
Holy Trio Jayanti
Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother, Swami Vivekananda
Celebrated with special worship, *Homa* (fire sacrifice), devotional singing, and public meetings where the lives and teachings of the Holy Trio are discussed.
Kalpataru Utsav
January 1st
Commemorating the day Sri Ramakrishna revealed himself as the wish-fulfilling tree (*Kalpataru*). Observances include chanting and readings.
Durga Puja
Sharad Navaratri
The grand worship of the Divine Mother Durga is performed with great solemnity and traditional rituals, attracting thousands of devotees.
